Homeschool Cooking Classes
Classes can take place in your home kitchen or at The Wild Rose Kitchen HQ, with a maximum group size of 5. Classes are 2 hours long unless otherwise planned.
In these classes, we explore food and cooking through the creation of healthy meals and snacks incorporating numeracy, literacy, spelling, geography, food journeys, culture, climate change, the environment and nutrition along the way.
Children will create a single portion of at least two main dishes / snacks / desserts to be taken home at the end of the class along with a recipe card that children will use to create their own recipe collection (all items supplied). In the final session, children will cook enough to feed a family of four, which they can take home to share with the people in their home. The costs for all supplies and ingredients are included in the cost for the course.
All chosen recipes will be vegan or vegetarian, wholesome, refined sugar free (specialist diets catered for).
You might be asked to either send along an appropriate container to take the dish home in (to be advised upon before the class) or a takeaway container can be provided.
Classes are drop-off. The nearby shops and cafes of Penge are a delight for waiting parents – a small discount voucher is available for a local favourite coffee shop.

- Decide on your group (up to five children, ideally age compatible or siblings)
- Decide on the day you wish to book for and dates per half term (see available dates below)
- The booking leader will need to provide names and phone numbers of parents of their group and will be asked to share a consent form with each member of their group to facilitate the booking process.
Costs:
- 4 sessions for up to 5 children: £535 (£107 / child = £26.75 per child per session)
- This cost includes all equipment, recipes and ingredients for all sessions (including a take-home family for four meal created in the showcasing final session)

*I have very limited space and availability – early bird bookings a term ahead can get a 10% discount.
* Please note I need a group of five to make the classes viable so broadcast to your networks if you are interested but don’t have a group of five so we can make it happen! If you have a smaller group but want to book anyway, a cost of £4 / child will be taken off the overall cost for materials. If you have a larger group than five get in touch to see what I can do.
